Completing Apprenticeship Commencements (CAC) Wage Subsidy
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR EMPLOYERS
The Australian Government has announced additional support to employers of apprentices and trainees who are eligible for the Boosting Apprenticeships Commencement (BAC) wage subsidy. After 12 months of BAC support employers will be eligible to transition to the Completing Apprenticeship Commencements (CAC) wage subsidy for the second and third years of an apprenticeship or traineeship.
Under the CAC, eligible employers will receive a 10% wage subsidy in the 2nd year of an eligible apprenticeship (capped at $1,500 per quarter), and a 5% wage subsidy in the 3rd year of the eligible apprenticeship (capped at $750 per quarter).
CAC is designed to ease the transition for all BAC eligible employers by providing transitional support for the second and third year of an Australian Apprenticeship. CAC is available to employers of any size, industry or geographic location.
