Abbie Shine was born in New York City and raised in Manhasset, New York. She graduated from Marymount College in
Tarrytown, New York and received a MBA in finance and marketing at St. Johns University. Additionally, Abbie earned a culinary degree from the chef’s training program from The Natural Gourmet.
Her professional background includes numerous marketing and development positions in the telecommunications industry. For the last two decades, Abbie has dedicated her time and talents to philanthropy and board directorships of
NGOs in her community and the greater NYC area that are committed to advancements in healthcare, education, and the arts.
At the nationally recognized Morristown Medical Center of the Atlantic Health System, Abbie served as Chairman of the Capital Campaign that successfully raised funds
for the construction of a new Emergency Department and substantial endowments for the Brookfield Medical Society. As Vice- President of the Board of Trustees for The Morristown Beard School she chaired the fundraising and development of educational facilities specializing in STEM curriculums that are now taught in the newly constructed Center for Innovation and Design and the Math and Science Facility.
At The Morristown Beard School, she also directs the Executive Steering Committee, Headmaster Search Committee and Advancement Committee. Abbie is also an active Member of the Education Committee at The Whitney Museum of Art in New York City. Abbie’s outside interest include skiing, hiking, golf and Contemporary Art. Abbie and her husband, Carl P Giordano presently reside
