The future for Kori March is full of colour, foil and blow waves as she begins her hairdressing career, as an apprentice, with Rogue Hair Clayfield.
With no previous work experience, her opportunity came via the PaTH internship program as the hair salon’s ‘tea and tidy’ junior.
Her employment consultant, Janet Lloyd, and Job Placement Officer, Jeff McPhee, saw Kori’s potential. At the end of her internship he asked Rogue Hair Clayfield owner, Michelle McGahan, if she’d consider taking Kori on as an apprentice hairdresser.
Jeff said this was his most satisfying job placement of his career because Kori’s employer, Michele, was so understanding and provided such a nurturing environment for Kori to prosper.
“Michele is fantastic!!! Kori is also so inspiring in how she continues to conquer so many non-vocational challenges to start her new career.
It was a great moment at Rogue Hair Clayfield when Sarina Russo Apprenticeships’ Darryl Petfield visited the salon to officially sign-up Kori for her hairdressing apprenticeship.
