You’ll also have access to psychologists and allied health professionals, short or certificate course training and work re-entry expenses i.e. boots, work clothes, bus fares etc.

Your skills will be marketed to local employers and once you get a job we’ll stay in touch with you and your employer to overcome any on-the-job challenges.

Jess and Julie experience the Russo Difference

Indigenous Mentors

Sarina Russo attracts and recruits Indigenous leaders who are your personal mentors.

They’ll ensure you’re work-ready and also be your voice in the workplace to ensure your boss and work colleagues are culturally aware.

Watch Queensland Rugby League Legend, Gorden Tallis, motivate Cherbourg jobseekers to change their lives and look for work opportunities outside their local area.

Shared Respect | Joint Action

Watch Indigenous artist Goompi present his artistic interpretation of the Sarina Russo group’s journey.

The Sarina Russo Group's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) drives our capability and capacity to meet Indigenous Employment targets and ensures every team member acts in a culturally inclusive manner.

We are so proud to have had our Reconciliation Action Plan formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia.

We look forward to sharing our reconciliation success stories with Reconciliation Australia and the wider Australian community.

Travel and Earn - Harvest Labour

Reap some cash while you travel

Join the thousands of people who harvest Queensland’s fruits and vegetables and earn money as they travel around Australia.

The Sarina Russo Harvest Services links local fruit growers with workers keen for temporary jobs.

  • Gayndah (366km North West of Brisbane) is known as the Citrus Capital of Queensland and is the Oldest Town in Queensland.
  • Mundubbera (390km North West of Brisbane) specialises in growing citrus, stone fruits, melons and blueberries.

Service Update

Citrus Picking has finished in both Gayndah & Mundubbera. This harvest season generally finishes in the month of September to Mid October.

Normally some limited number of jobs are available in Gayndah picking stone fruits (peaches). This year no picking will occur due to a colony of flying foxes (fruit bats) which descended upon the orchid and completely destroyed the peach crops which was almost ready to be harvested.

Some jobs will become available closer to the Christmas period when fruit thinning (removing excess fruits) will begin. Best time for pickers to arrive in the area (North Burnett) is mid to late march when there are lots of jobs for harvesting Mandarins.
