How can Joblinx help Sarina Russo Institute students Link Education with Employment?

By Sarina Russo Editorial Team

Completing your course is only half of the narrative. Securing a job within your profession is the other. While you’re busy learning and completing your qualification, our Internship Placement and Career Progression team, Joblinx, work tirelessly on the sidelines in helping you explore successful employment prospects.

This starts from the moment you enrol with us at Sarina Russo Institute (SRI). Since 2008, Joblinx has been helping our students gain work experience, internships, part-time, and graduate employment. Through a full range of training programs and extra-curricular courses, our students graduate with the necessary skills needed for success in a global workplace.

In the past year, Joblinx has met with over 1,000 SRI students, held multiple workshops and assisted over 100 students with investigating employment prospects.

Better yet, our specialist team of recruitment and training professionals provide these exclusive services free to all enrolled students.

What services does Joblinx offer?

Resume and Cover Letter Building:

To get in front of an employer for that all-important interview requires a ‘stand out’ resume. Our industry consultants know the key phrases and industry-specific content required to best highlight your skills and abilities.

Throughout their studies, students can meet 1-on-1 with our Career Counsellors to restructure, update and modernise their resumes and cover letters.

Creating a Stand Out LinkedIn Profile:

LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network and a key tool in today’s recruitment practices. We can help you create your personalised profile that optimises your strengths and career achievements, and demonstrates the skills, work history and colleague referrals you have.

  • Create a detailed profile
  • Tailor a personal brand
  • List suggested network groups
  • Assist in developing contacts and referrals
  • Professional photo included (Brisbane Only)
Professional Headshots:

First impressions are lasting impressions. Career experts say it only takes between 10-15 seconds to form an impression of someone.

With this in mind, our Joblinx outsources professional photographers to take and edit several headshots of our students* which can be used on their applications and online profiles. We tailor the shot, location and style to suit our students’ employment prospects.

* This is only available at our Brisbane campus

Professional Consultations:

Projecting confidence in an interview is vital for success. Our team of consultants will undertake a skills assessment to determine where your real abilities lie and help you articulate clearly how your skillset will significantly contribute to any organisation. We will conduct mock interviews, assist with behavioural questioning and ensure that all your bases are covered from your first contact via your resume, through all the touchpoints throughout the process that leads up to a final interview:

  • Interview prep
  • First impression phone call
  • Navigating behavioural interviews
  • Skills assessments
  • Building confidence
Training Workshops & Testing:

Free training workshops and assessments Joblinx offers our students include:

  • Mind Your Own Business (MYOB)
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Food and Beverage
  • Coffee Making Course

Through these workshops, our students are able to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to gain employment in their desired fields. These workshops are hosted throughout the year at our Brisbane campus and are held in small groups to ensure students receive high-quality sessions tailored to their needs.

Joblinx’s successful record of placing students in employment and work experience programs makes studying at Sarina Russo Institute a smart choice.
